"What I've learned most from acting, and certainly the audition process, is that who you are and what you offer to a role or to an experience, is unique to just you. Sure, other's have your look, but they don't have your spirit, your energy, your voice, and your life experience. That's all you. So access that, exude that, perform that. Even if you don't land the role, you can always walk away knowing that you were true and authentic to you, and that's what is most important. Be authentic, always, and it'll come."

ABOUT KEVIN
Born in Roswell, New Mexico and raised throughout the state of Colorado, Kevin Tydlaska spent a significant portion of his childhood in Colorado's foster care system, until being adopted at the age of 12 by his 4th grade tutor's family. After a solid year as a family, Kevin's adopted family began to break apart. It was during Kevin's junior year in high school that his adopted family finally separated leaving Kevin with one of the two parents. Kevin pushed through graduation, came out of the closet, and quickly found himself on his own at the age of 18. Several years later, after understanding the true nature of his adoption, Kevin changed his name back to his birth name, Kevin Tydlaska.
An actor from a very young age, Kevin performed in his first theatre production at the age of 13. After falling in love with acting Kevin continued to perform in straight plays and musicals throughout high school earning several awards and landing a small performing arts scholarship. Unfortunately, Kevin was not able to pursue performing arts as a major and had to instead find a stable job to support himself. Kevin landed in banking but never lost sight of his love for acting.
After several years working in banking, starting college, and traveling, Kevin experienced the suicide of his best friend Kaylie which pushed him to finally begin pursuing his dreams. Within one week Kevin moved to New York City. It is in New York City that Kevin met his future husband, Brandon and began taking classes at UCB NYC and The Barrow Group. In NYC Kevin starred in a web series, 'Bocce Ballers' which gave him his first credit.
After relocating to Denver, getting married, earning his BFA in Commercial Photography, and performing in shows that include, 'A Chorus Line,' 'Les Miserables, 'Into The Woods,' and 'The Last Thing He Told Me,' Kevin and his husband returned to NYC only to quickly find themselves relocating to Florida. They moved around and finally settled in Tampa, Florida where they began their creative and marketing ad agency, BKN Creative, where Kevin is acting CEO. Tampa is where Kevin seemed to flourish in both business and performance. As such, Kevin dove deeper into his studies. Kevin began training with Eugenie Bondurant and Andi Matheny and took several casting workshops with Lori Wyman and John Peros. As he grew in his craft, Kevin landed several roles in Tampa-based community theatre productions and eventually earned representation with his first agent.
Landing several commercial roles throughout the state of Florida, Kevin finally hit his first theatrical role in a film when he booked the supporting role of Stephan in Hallmark's, 'South Beach Love.' This role earned Kevin his SAG-eligibility card. Several months later Kevin booked a guest role in the Apple TV+ production of 'Bad Monkey,' acting opposite Alex Moffat and Vince Vaughn.
Kevin now splits his time between NYC and Tampa, Florida where he continues to take classes at UCB NYC, The Pit, Second City, and The Barrow Group.
